Update—The decision has been made to delay the release of the Fission Surface Power Request for Proposals (RFP). INL now plans on releasing a draft RFP by mid-November for industry feedback. This revised schedule will help to decouple the timing of the planned RFPs for Space Nuclear Propulsion and Fission Surface Power and allow companies to be responsive to both requests. Pending the availability of funding, the final RFP for Fission Surface Power is now planned for release in January 2021. Thank you for your continued interest and support. Additional details will be available on this website as they become available.
